Dinner with Richard Flint This Friday!
Because Richard is going to be in town this Friday night before Saturday’s event, he has offered to have dinner with some of us.
We thought this would be an excelent opportunity for members of the REIA to have dinner with one of the greatest motivational speakers of our time. On top of that, Richard and the Milwaukee REIA are picking up the bill.
This could be a life changing night for a handful of people!
Because we are limited in the number of seats at our table, we are limiting this to anyone who has purchased Richard’s Full Success Series already or anyone who does so by Friday morning.
With the Success Series, you get the following:
- Learning To Remove The Clutter From Your Life CD’s
- The Freedom to Soar! CD’s
- Designing & Achieving Your Dream CD’s
- Feeding The Hunger of Motivation CD’s
- Life Made Simple CD’s
- I Need A Life! Book
- Behavior Never Lies! Book
- The Truth About Stress Book
- Breaking Free Book
- The Morning Minute Daily E-mail
- Bonus: Mastering The Three R’s for Strengthening Your Relationship CD’s
If you are interested in getting an order form, please e-mail dan@kurszewski.com. If you have already ordered part of the Success Series and you would like to complete the order, we can do that as well.
We hope to see you at dinner on Friday!
Do Real Estate Investors Ever Get The Weekend Off?
Do you ever wish that as a real estate investor you had a normal schedule like many others?
Do you ever wish that you could turn off your phone and not be disturbed from Friday evening until Monday morning?
Do you ever wish that all of your investing could just be a 9-5 job?
Well all of this could happen if you wanted it to. You just have to decide if that is what you want. Just remember that it is your choice what to do with your time.
I choose to have a decent balance. I spend at least one evening during the week working on stuff for the Milwaukee REIA. I spend a night or two during the week to work on lead generation. I spend 15 minutes a day to post on this blog. And I spend at least a few hours a day on the weekends doing some work whether that is looking at houses, or creating my next mailing list, or returning phone calls.
But I do leave time for non-investing stuff for myself and for my kids when I do have them. That includes things like taking my kids to their activities during the week, going to Marquette games on a Saturday afternoon, watching a Transformers movie on a Saturday night, or watching a Packers game on a Sunday.
I guess my whole point is that you can have balance. You just have to choose at what level your balance is. You can work 10 hours a week on real estate or 80 hours a week on real estate. You decide.
The Weather Outside Is Frightful!
Today was a snowy day in Wisconsin. The reality is that we have been so spoiled this whole winter with no snow and 40+ degree days most of the time. So when snow finally does fall, people forget how to drive and driving becomes a nightmare.
Fortunately for me I was able to get home early enough in the storm that I did not have to sit still on the freeway. I was able to come home with plenty of time to snowblow and still do some of my daily tasks I set for myself.
Unfortunately for me, one of my weekly goals of looking at houses has yet to happen because of the Milwaukee REIA stuff I have had to do as well as today’s weather. I will get that done tomorrow if the weather permits.
On a side note with respect to the Milwaukee REIA, the workshop we are doing with Richard Flint on Saturday, January 21st had been a big hit. We actually sold out of the way we were originally going to have the room setup for us. We had to change the seating so we could double our number of seats. I cannot wait to see Richard speak again!
Well now that all of my daily goals have been accomplished, I am signing off for today.
Check One, Check Two
After a long few days thanks to the tasks at hand with the Milwaukee REIA, all I wanted to do tonight is go to bed. But as I was laying in bed I remembered two things I wanted to accomplish today.
The first thing was writing my 11th blog post on the 11th day of January thus being all caught up on my 2012 goal of 365 blog posts. Well if you are reading this right now, then you know I have accomplished that.
The second thing was to get all of my 100 letters for last week stamped so I can finally get them in the mail tomorrow. I am happy to have also accomplished that.
Now they say no rest for the weary. And I know I should be starting my next list of leads for the next 100 letters for this week. But I think I need to get some sleep first.
So I can check off those two things from my list. Have a good night and I promise to have more tomorrow!
All I have to say about last night is this. WOW!
Last night was incredible! And I am pretty sure that the 120 people that were at last night’s Milwaukee REIA meeting would agree with me.
I originally saw Richard Flint speak 6 years ago and I was blown away then. Last night was even better. It is not every day that you can hear someone speak and they say something that might forever change your life. I will tell you more about what he said that had that effect on me in a second.
But first I wanted to tell everyone about Saturday, January 21st. It is that day that Richard Flint is going to speak for the entire day. So if you missed out on last night, this is your chance to make up for that. You will get to spend time with Richard from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a break for lunch in between.
On top of that, and because Eric and I both were blown away last night, we have decided to make that Saturday event the same price as the regular meeting. You heard me right. We have made that full day Saturday event only $20 per person if you register today at http://www.milwaukeereia.com. After that it is back to the normal price of $49 per person or $59 per couple. For this we truly do have a limited number of seats so please act now if you want to ensure your spot.
So now back to the one thing Richard said last night that might forever change my life. Every year I make New Year’s resolutions and every year I don’t follow through with them. Do you know what I am talking about? Have you ever done the same thing?
Well this year I have several resolutions and one of my resolutions was to actually do my resolutions. And so far this year I would say I have done a decent job at working on my resolutions but it is not good enough.
Last night, Richard said this. If you don’t do what you said you were going to do in the first 20 days of the year, then you won’t do it at all. And he is so right.
So I leave you with this. Is one of your resolutions to be more successful this year or to make more money this year or to grow your business this year or to do anything else this year? Have you done all those things in the first 11 days of the year? Will you be doing those things at all after 20 days?
I would love to hear your progress on the 21st day of the month before you sit down to hear Richard Flint help you change your life. Register today at http://www.milwaukeereia.com!
FYI - To prove to you that both Eric and I were both truly blown away last night, we signed up for Richard’s StarMaker 2012 event this July in Colorado Springs. I know it will change both of our lives. Maybe we will see you there?
Milwaukee REIA meeting with Richard Flint is tonight!
Sorry again that I was not able to get a blog post up last night. I was up very late preparing for tonight’s Milwaukee REIA meeting.
Tonight at the REIA meeting we have Richard Flint talking. I first saw Richard several years ago at a Robyn Thompson weekend seminar in Orlando and I was very impressed with him then. His motivational books and cd’s have helped me immensely over the years.
Richard is going to be talking about The Psychology of Personal Branding. This is not just for people in real estate. This is for anybody that has their own business or wants to be successful. If you want more details or if you want to come tonight, just go to http://www.milwaukeereia.com.
Hopefully I will see you tonight!
The Sunday Letters
One of my goals this morning was to get my 100 letters ready. I am proud to say I was able to accomplish that. And I probably would not have gotten that done with my brand new letter folder.
I would highly recommend one of these for everyone doing direct mail. Here is a little video showing how fast they go.
The Sunday Double Header
So I was hoping to be able to create a post every day for 365 days but was unable to do so yesterday before the end of the day. So today I am going to do a double header to make up for it. I am posting this morning and I will post tonight.
I did absolutely nothing related to real estate or my posted goals yesterday. But I did spend the entire day with my kids and had a lot of fun doing that. So I am officially adding something to my list of goals. And that is to spend time with my kids when I have them.
Today is a little different. I have the entire day to work on my other personal and business goals. And here are the things I will accomplish today.
- Go for a run to train for my half marathon
- Lift weights
- Create a new list of potential real estate leads
- Prepare 100 letters to be mailed tomorrow
This is going to be a busy day but I am up to the challenge!
Who is ready for my first poll ever?

Who loves Real Estate? I do!!!
It never fails when I go out. I start talking to someone not involved with real estate and if they know me they ask how real estate is going. If they don’t know me they always will ask what it is that I do. Either way, the second that real estate comes up the conversation always has a negative connotation.
Has real estate had a few bad years? Abosolutely.
Have a lot of people lost money in real estate over the past few years? Absolutely.
Can you still make money in real estate? Absolutely.
The prices may have been going down the past few years but even if they continue to go down, you can still make money if you invest properly. And that is why I still love Real Estate!
Over the next few weeks, keep checking back because I will talk about several different ways that you can still make money in real estate.
